Rok 2025 bude rokem oslav 200. narozenin "videňského krále valčíku" Johanna Strausse mladšího, které bude nejen markantně provázet hudební dění Vídňě po celý rok, ale bude i důvodem k oslavám v celém hudebním světě.Vídeňští filharmonici zahájili tuto hudební událost Novoročním koncertem 1. ledna 2025 pod taktovkou Maestro Riccarda Muttiho. Koncert byl vysílán live do více než 90 zemí světa.
Johann Strauss ml. zemřel ve Vídni 3. června 1899 na zápal plic. Zanechal asi 500 skladeb, včetně neoficiální rakouské národní hymny, valčík "An der schönen blauen Donau".

Geburtstag des „Wiener Walzerkönigs“ Johann Strauss Jun.., der nicht nur das Musikgeschehen Wiens das ganze Jahr über maßgeblich begleiten wird, sondern ganz bestimmt auch in der gesamten Musikwelt Anlass zum Feiern geben wird.Den Auftakt zu diesem musikalischen Event besorgten die Wiener Philharmoniker mit dem Neujahrskonzert 1. Januar 2025 unterm Taktstock von Maestro Riccardo Mutti, was wieder einmal in über 90 Länder der Welt übertragen wurde.
Johann Strauss Jun. starb am 3. Juni 1899 in Wien an einer Lungenentzündung. Er hinterließ ein Gesamtwerk von rund 500 Kompositionen, darunter Österreichs inoffizielle Nationalhymne, den "Donauwalzer".

Johann Strauss Jun. died in Vienna on 3 June 1899 from pneumonia. He left an oeuvre of some 500 compositions, including Austria’s unofficial nation anthem, the "Blue Danube Waltz".
